Delicious crispy tofu steak bites paired with creamy buttery mashed potatoes, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- Firm tofu
- 2–3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2–3 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- 2–3 medium potatoes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup milk or plant-based milk
- Optional: gravy or greens for serving
Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix minced garlic, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Marinate the tofu for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated tofu and pan-sear until golden brown on all sides.
- Boil the potatoes until tender, then drain and mash them with butter and milk until creamy.
- Serve the crispy tofu bites with the buttery mashed potatoes and add gravy or greens if desired.
Notes
For extra crunch, coat the marinated tofu pieces in cornstarch before pan-searing.
