Description

A comforting dish of tender steak bites slow cooked in garlic butter sauce, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of stew meat cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 packet of onion soup mix
  • 1/4 cup of beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the stew meat with salt and pepper.
  2. (Optional) In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the meat until browned on all sides.
  3. Place the meat into the slow cooker.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, onion soup mix, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the meat in the slow cooker, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until the meat is tender.
  7. Once cooked, stir the meat to coat with the sauce. Serve hot with your choice of sides.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, remove the lid for the last 30 minutes of cooking. Add vegetables for a heartier meal.
