Description

Learn how to make delicious cruffins from scratch with our easy-to-follow recipe. Perfect for breakfast or dessert, these flaky pastries are a must-try!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tubes (8 ounce (227 g) s each) refrigerated crescent roll sheets
  • 6 tablespoon (90 ml) s vegetable oil, softened, divided
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F and let it heat up. Lightly coat a regular 12-cup muffin pan with nonstick spray. Put it aside for later.
  2. On a surface dusted with a little flour, extend each dough tube into a rectangle measuring 12 by 16 inches. Use crescent roll sheets, and if yours have perforations, ensure you seal them by pinching.
  3. Evenly spread 2 tablespoons of softened vegetable oil over each dough rectangle.
  4. Combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl by whisking them together.
  5. Distribute ¼ cup of the cinnamon-sugar blend evenly over each oiled dough rectangle, pressing it gently into the dough. Reserve the leftover cinnamon-sugar mix for topping later.
  6. Beginning from the longer edge, roll up the dough tightly to form a log.
  7. Slice the log into two equal parts, resulting in shorter logs.
  8. Divide each shorter log lengthwise into two, creating four dough pieces from each log.
  9. Repeat the process with the other two dough sheets, giving you a total of 12 dough sections.
  10. With the cut side outward, roll each section into a spiral shape, ensuring the end is tucked in securely.
  11. Place each rolled section into the muffin pan you prepared earlier. Do the same with the remaining 11 sections.
  12. Bake them for 18-20 minutes until they turn a golden brown color.
  13. Once out of the oven, immediately roll each cruffin in the reserved cinnamon sugar mixture. Enjoy your treat!

Notes

  • Seal any openings in the crescent roll sheets to prevent filling leakage.
  • Gently press the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the oiled dough rectangles for better adhesion.
  • Securely tuck the end of each rolled section to prevent unraveling during baking.
