Description

A rich and creamy pasta dish with tender steak, perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340 g) pasta
  • 1 lb (450 g) steak
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 minced shallot
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) beef broth
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta in well-salted water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. While the pasta cooks, season the steak with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a hot cast-iron skillet, and sear the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  3. Allow the steak to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter, shallot, and garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
  5. Deglaze the pan with beef broth, scraping up any flavorful bits.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan, then gently simmer until the sauce thickens.
  7. Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce and sliced steak, adding reserved pasta water as needed for consistency.

Notes

Serve garnished with additional Parmesan and fresh herbs for extra flavor.
