- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 2 tbsp milk (for icing)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan thoroughly.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients: milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Blend the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon filling ingredients: melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
- Layer half of the batter into the greased loaf pan, then sprinkle half of the cinnamon filling over it. Repeat the layering process.
- With a knife, swirl through the batter to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- To prepare the icing, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and additional vanilla extract.
- Allow the bread to cool before drizzling the icing over the top.
Notes
For a unique twist, consider adding nuts or raisins to the batter.
