  • 1 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp (3 ml) salt
  • 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips, divided, or mini chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 350°F. Grease and dust a loaf pan with flour to prevent sticking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, use the paddle attachment to blend the softened butter with the sugar until creamy. Introduce the two eggs, which have been lightly whisked.
  3. Using a fork, mash the ripe bananas until they’re chunky, similar to applesauce, and incorporate them into the mixture along with the vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until everything is well integrated.
  5. Gently mix in 3/4 cup of chocolate chips, then pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Scatter the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips on top and bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
