Description

A quick and delicious recipe for beef and broccoli, featuring tender beef and crisp broccoli in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, garlic, and ginger to create a marinade.
  2. Add the sliced beef and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through.
  5. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add the broccoli and a splash of water.
  7. Cover and steam for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  8. Return the beef to the skillet, combine with broccoli, and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

For best results, marinate the beef for longer. Avoid overcrowding the skillet when stir-frying.
