A deliciously marinated skirt steak, grilled to perfection, ideal for tacos or salads.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs skirt steak
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 2 limes or lemons
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix spices, garlic, citrus juice, salt, pepper, and olive oil to create the marinade.
- Place the skirt steak in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Preheat your grill or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
- Grill or sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest for a few minutes, then slice against the grain.
- Serve as a main dish, in tacos, or over a salad, pairing with chimichurri or roasted veggies.
Notes
For best results, avoid overcrowding the grill and let the steak rest after cooking.
