  • 1/4 cup black cocoa powder (21 g)
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk (180 g, room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (112 g)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 2 rounds Oreo filling
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (sifted) (180 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon whole milk (20 g)
  • 3/4 cup crushed Oreos (about 67 Oreo cookies for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pan by greasing it or lining with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the cake flour, Dutch cocoa powder, black cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth and creamy. Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Incorporate the sour cream, buttermilk, and vanilla extract into the wet mixture until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the Oreo cookie crumbs.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Prepare the cream cheese glaze by beating cream cheese until smooth, then gradually adding sifted powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and whole milk until creamy.
  11. Once cooled, drizzle the cream cheese glaze on top and sprinkle crushed Oreos for garnish.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for the best results. Consider adding mini chocolate chips or larger pieces of Oreos for additional flavor and texture.
