Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon until well combined.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and fold gently until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, mix together the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon. Brush the top of the batter with the remaining melted butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
