Description

A delightful and tender grilled flank steak marinated with soy sauce, garlic, and ginger, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, brown sugar, black pepper, ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  5. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  6. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Slice against the grain and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Marinate longer for deeper flavor. Letting the steak rest after grilling ensures juicy slices.
