Description
These Easy Philly Cheesesteak Sliders combine tender steak, caramelized onions, and melted cheese, all nestled in soft rolls, making them perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 slider rolls (preferably soft, like Hawaiian rolls)
- 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or flank steak
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: sautéed bell peppers, mushrooms, or hot peppers for added flavor
Instructions
- Heat the tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the thinly sliced onions and stir occasionally for about 5-7 minutes until softened and golden.
- Increase the heat slightly, add the sliced ribeye or flank steak, and season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until browned, approximately 3-5 minutes.
- Pour in the Worcestershire sauce and stir to combine.
- Remove the skillet from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the rolls in half without separating them completely.
- Place the bottom halves of the slider rolls on a baking sheet and spoon an even amount of the steak mixture onto each roll.
- Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese generously over the steak mix.
- Add the top halves of the slider rolls over the cheese.
- Brush the melted butter evenly across the tops of the rolls.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese has melted.
- Remove from the oven, cool slightly, and slice between the sliders for serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider including sautéed vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms. Serve hot for the best experience.
