Description

A hearty and comforting casserole combining ground beef, pasta, cheese, and creamy sauce, perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces pasta (such as elbow macaroni)
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (like cheddar)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: bread crumbs for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onions over medium heat until the meat is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the cheese. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and add bread crumbs if desired.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding garlic powder or Italian seasoning to the beef while it cooks. This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated.
