Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Shape the mixture into patties.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add patties and brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add mushrooms and sauté until soft.
- Stir in flour and cook for a minute. Slowly add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until the gravy thickens.
- Return patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Serve hot.
Notes
For added flavor, consider incorporating herbs like thyme or parsley in the gravy. Don’t overmix the beef to avoid dense patties.
