Description
A rich and tender filet mignon served with a creamy mustard and Parmesan sauce, perfect for special occasions or comforting weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pieces of filet mignon (approximately 200 g each)
- 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
- 200 ml of heavy cream
- 50–60 g of grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Season each side of the filet mignon generously with salt and pepper.
- Place the filets in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
- Remove filets from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- Add Dijon mustard and heavy cream, stirring continuously to combine.
- Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Return the filets to the skillet, coating them with the creamy sauce. Serve hot.
Notes
For best results, allow the filets to rest for a few minutes after cooking. This helps lock in the juices for maximum tenderness.
