- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Blanch green beans in salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender.
- Drain and immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking. Pat dry.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add blanched green beans to the skillet and toss to combine, cooking for 2-3 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh green beans rather than frozen or canned.
- Make sure to pat the green beans completely dry after blanching to ensure proper sautéing.
- You can substitute cremini mushrooms with button mushrooms if preferred.
