Description
A comforting dish combining tender steak bites and pasta in a rich garlic herb butter sauce, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound steak (sirloin or tenderloin, cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 8 ounces pasta (your choice of shape such as penne, fusilli, or spaghetti)
- 4 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
- Parmesan cheese (for serving, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare your pasta according to its package instructions. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add the pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt two tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Season the steak bites with salt and pepper. Once the butter is hot, add the steak and sear each piece until browned on the outside and medium-rare on the inside, around 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. Lower the heat to medium and add the remaining butter. Add minced garlic, oregano, thyme, and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return the steak to the skillet, then toss in the cooked pasta. Stir to combine all the ingredients and coat the pasta and steak with that rich, garlicky butter sauce.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and, if desired, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
Serve hot and pair with a side salad or crusty bread for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
