  • 2 chicken breasts, cubed
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package directions in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Steam broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Quickly plunge into ice water.
  3. Season chicken cubes with salt and pepper, then sear in olive oil over medium-high heat until golden brown.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Gradually whisk in heavy cream.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth; adjust with reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Add cooked tortellini, chicken, and broccoli to the skillet; toss gently until well combined.

Notes

For an extra kick, consider adding freshly cracked black pepper or additional garlic. Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother sauce.
