- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups cooked noodles (or potatoes)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 cup mixed vegetables (like peas and carrots)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles (or potatoes), cream of mushroom soup, milk, and the cooked ground beef mixture. Season with salt and pepper, stirring until well combined.
- If using mixed vegetables, fold them in gently.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added texture, consider topping the cheese layer with breadcrumbs.
