Description

A heartwarming and comforting ground beef casserole dish that brings family together.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked noodles (or potatoes)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 cup mixed vegetables (like peas and carrots)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles (or potatoes), cream of mushroom soup, milk, and the cooked ground beef mixture. Season with salt and pepper, stirring until well combined.
  4. If using mixed vegetables, fold them in gently.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added texture, consider topping the cheese layer with breadcrumbs.
