- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or rice for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream until well blended.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.
Notes
Browning the ground beef in batches can prevent steaming. A splash of lemon juice can brighten the flavors.
