Description

A comforting classic, ground beef stroganoff features rich flavors and creamy texture, perfect for cozy family meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Gradually add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream until well blended.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.

Notes

Browning the ground beef in batches can prevent steaming. A splash of lemon juice can brighten the flavors.
