Description

A comforting and cheesy casserole featuring ground beef, green beans, and creamy mushroom soup topped with melty cheese and crispy fried onions.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 cups green beans (cooked, fresh or canned, drained)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic. Drain any excess grease. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
  3. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer cooked beef mixture, green beans, soup mixture, and both cheeses. Repeat layers if using a deeper dish.
  4. Top with crispy fried onions in an even layer.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly with golden edges.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a healthier option, swap ground beef for ground turkey. You can also experiment with other vegetables to add variety.
