- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, followed by half of the ground beef mixture.
- Repeat with the remaining potatoes and beef.
- Mix cream of mushroom soup and milk, then pour over the casserole.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and drizzle with melted butter.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30-35 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
