Description

A comforting dish of hoisin beef noodles featuring tender beef, crunchy vegetables, and soft rice noodles in a savory hoisin sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz rice noodles
  • 1 lb beef, sliced into strips
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, snap peas)
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry until tender-crisp, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and add the hoisin sauce and soy sauce. Stir to combine, cooking for another 2 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For added heat, include red pepper flakes or hot sauce. You can substitute beef with chicken or tofu for a different variation.
