Description

Create comforting homemade egg noodles from simple ingredients: flour, eggs, salt, and water.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt together until well combined.
  2. Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and crack the eggs into it.
  3. Using a fork, gradually mix the flour into the eggs until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to your desired thickness.
  6. Cut the rolled dough into strips using a knife.
  7. Allow the noodles to dry slightly before cooking them in boiling salted water for about 3-4 minutes, until al dente.
  8. Drain and serve with your favorite sauce.

Notes

Experiment with herbs and spices in the dough for additional flavor. Store leftover noodles in an airtight container for 2-3 days or freeze for longer storage.
