Delicious homemade McGriddles crafted from fluffy pancakes, savory sausage, and creamy eggs, bringing warmth and nostalgia to your breakfast table.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground breakfast sausage (or 4 sausage patties)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup (200ml) whole milk
  • 4 tbsp. softened butter
  • 1 ¼ cups (160g) flour
  • ⅔ cup (150ml) milk
  • 2 7/8 tbsp. (40g) melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 6 slices of crispy bacon
  • 4 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the ground sausage in a bowl, massage until well mixed, and form four patties. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the patties on a grill pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. In a bowl, whisk eggs and whole milk until combined.
  4. Coat a large pan with butter, pour ¼ of the egg mixture into it, and cook over low heat until set, then fold into thirds.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, adding milk, egg, melted butter, and maple syrup to form a thick batter.
  6. Cook pancakes in a non-stick pan with butter, using 2-3 tablespoons of batter each, flipping after 1-2 minutes until golden.
  7. Fry bacon until crispy.
  8. Assemble McGriddles with a pancake, American cheese, sausage patty, omelette, bacon, and another pancake on top.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best results, and don’t rush the cooking of the sausages and pancakes.
