- 1/2 cup honey (wildflower or orange blossom recommended)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine honey, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Can be made gluten-free using a 1:1 gluten-free baking mix.
- Bread is done when golden brown with a slight crack on top, and a toothpick comes out with few moist crumbs.
- Can be made into muffins – bake for 18-22 minutes.
- Best honey options: wildflower or orange blossom for floral notes, sourwood for complexity.
