  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper (1 gram)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried thyme (1 gram)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped fresh parsley (15 grams)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into 1-inch cubes.
  3. Place the sweet potato cubes on a baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the sweet potatoes.
  5. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper onto the sweet potatoes.
  6. Toss the sweet potatoes to coat them evenly with oil and seasoning.
  7. Spread the sweet potatoes in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake the sweet potatoes for 20-25 minutes, until they are tender.
  9. While the sweet potatoes bake, slice the chicken sausage into 1/2-inch rounds.
  10. Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  11. Add the chicken sausage slices to the skillet.
  12. Cook the sausage for 5-7 minutes, until they are browned and cooked through.
  13. Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the sausage.
  14. Cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently, until the garlic is fragrant.
  15. Reduce the heat to low and add the honey to the skillet.
