Indulge in the ultimate hot cocoa experience with our irresistible hot cocoa bombs filled with gooey marshmallows. Learn how to make them yourself!


Ingredients

  • – Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers, you will not need all of the 283g (10 oz) bag
  • – 6 scant tablespoons Hot Cocoa Mix (I used Ghirardelli hot cocoa mix)
  • – 30-36 mini marshmallows
  • – Sprinkles
  • – 4 1/2 cups hot milk (about 1800ml, approximately 300ml per serving)
  • – Extra marshmallows, whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Warm up about half to three-quarters of the chocolate wafers in a heat-safe bowl following the package instructions; I prefer using the microwave.
  2. Use a spoon to spread a thin coat inside each mold, then cool until solid. Apply another thin coat and chill again. Gently remove each chocolate dome from the mold.
  3. In one half of the chocolate molds, add a scant tablespoon of cocoa mix, followed by a few mini marshmallows.
  4. Warm the rim of each empty chocolate dome by placing it on a heated flat surface until it begins to soften. Align it with a filled dome and hold in place until the chocolate sets and seals.
  5. Transfer any remaining melted chocolate into a piping bag and drizzle over each assembled bomb. Add sprinkles if you like before the chocolate sets.
  6. To enjoy, put a bomb in a teacup or similar mug.
  7. Heat the milk until it simmers and then pour it over the bomb. Once it dissolves, stir thoroughly to mix.
  8. Optionally, top with whipped cream, extra marshmallows, sprinkles, or other garnishes.
