Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and milk until well combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
