- 1 loaf Italian bread
- 2 cups Lettuce, shredded
- 2 Tomatoes, sliced
- 1 Onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup Pepperoncini
- 4 oz Salami, sliced
- 4 oz Ham, sliced
- 4 oz Provolone cheese, sliced
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp Oregano
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise.
- Layer lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pepperoncini, salami, ham, and provolone cheese on the bread.
- Drizzle with olive oil and red wine vinegar, then sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Close the sandwich and press down gently.
- Cut into portions and serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
Use freshly baked Italian bread for the best texture. Allow the sandwich to sit for a few minutes after assembling for flavors to meld.
