- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For toppings:
- Avocado
- Sour cream
- Cilantro
- Jalapeños
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper, and sauté until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, salsa, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 more minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
- Add your favorite toppings such as avocado, sour cream, cilantro, and jalapeños.
Notes
For a creamier texture, stir in some cream cheese or sour cream before adding the cheese topping. Customize the spice level to your preference.
