  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For toppings:
  • Avocado
  • Sour cream
  • Cilantro
  • Jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper, and sauté until vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, salsa, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 more minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  8. Add your favorite toppings such as avocado, sour cream, cilantro, and jalapeños.

Notes

For a creamier texture, stir in some cream cheese or sour cream before adding the cheese topping. Customize the spice level to your preference.
