Description

A comforting and versatile dish, Korean rolled omelette, also known as Gyeran Mari, is made with fluffy layers of eggs and vegetables, perfect for family meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large eggs
  • Salt, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ cup finely chopped vegetables (like spinach, carrots, and bell peppers)
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl. Add salt and pepper, whisking until light and frothy.
  2. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-low heat and add vegetable oil.
  3. Pour a thin layer of the egg mixture into the pan, swirling to cover the bottom evenly.
  4. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges firm up, then sprinkle a portion of chopped vegetables on top.
  5. Gently fold one edge of the omelette toward the center and carefully roll it away from you.
  6. Pull the rolled omelette to one side of the pan and repeat the process, adding more egg mixture to create layers.
  7. Continue until all egg mixture is used.
  8. Remove the omelette from the pan and let it cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

Serve with soy sauce or sesame oil for extra flavor. Pairs well with rice or noodles.
