Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if you choose to bake the cheese puffs.
- In a large bowl, combine the leftover mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, optional green onions, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Shape the mixture into small balls or patties, ensuring they hold together well.
- If baking, arrange the cheese puffs on a baking sheet and lightly spray them with cooking spray. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- If frying, heat oil in a pan and fry the cheese puffs until golden brown on all sides.
- Serve warm as a snack, appetizer, or side dish.
Notes
Feel free to add garlic powder or onion powder for extra flavor. To achieve a crispier exterior, roll the puffs in additional breadcrumbs before frying.
