Description
A hearty and indulgent pasta dish combining the flavors of a classic cheeseburger with crispy bacon, creamy cheeses, and tender short pasta.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces short pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni)
- 1 pound ground beef (can substitute with ground turkey or chicken)
- 6 slices bacon (cooked and crispy)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the short pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Use a spatula to crumble the meat as it cooks. Drain excess fat, if necessary.
- Once the beef is cooked, reduce the heat to low. Add the cooked bacon, chopped into pieces, to the skillet and stir gently.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet, along with the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Combine thoroughly, allowing the sauce to coat the pasta evenly.
- If the sauce appears too thick, gradually add a small amount of the reserved pasta water, stirring until you achieve the desired consistency.
- Serve immediately while hot, garnishing with additional bacon or cheese if desired.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, consider adding dried herbs like oregano or thyme. Customize with vegetables such as bell peppers or onions if desired.
