Description
A comforting pasta dish that combines the classic flavors of a cheeseburger with the heartiness of pasta, featuring crispy bacon, savory beef, and creamy cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces short pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni)
- 1 pound ground beef (can substitute with ground turkey or chicken)
- 6 slices bacon (cooked and crispy)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the short pasta in a pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside once cooked.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the beef, stirring to combine.
- Reduce the heat to low, then mix in the cream cheese and a portion of the cheddar cheese. Stir until everything melds into a creamy sauce.
- Toss in the cooked pasta, ensuring it gets thoroughly coated in the cheeseburger mixture.
- Crumble the crispy bacon on top and sprinkle with the remaining sharp cheddar cheese.
Notes
For an extra creamy consistency, reserve some pasta cooking water before draining and add it during the mixing process. Experiment with toppings like green onions or additional spices.
