- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheese (provolone or mozzarella)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, and cook until browned.
- Add the sliced peppers, onions, and mushrooms to the skillet; sauté until the vegetables are tender.
- In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream and half of the cheese.
- Pour the creamy cheese mixture over the beef and vegetable mixture; stir to combine.
- Transfer to a baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
