Description

Deliciously addictive maple bacon wrapped asparagus, combining savory and sweet flavors in a delightful appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Asparagus stalks
  • 6 Strips Maple Bacon, cut in half lengthwise
  • 1/2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Tbsp Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and get a large baking tray or dish ready.
  2. Slice your bacon strips in half lengthwise, resulting in two thin strips.
  3. Wrap each piece of asparagus with a thin strip of bacon and place it onto the baking dish. Lay each wrapped asparagus flat and avoid stacking them on top of each other.
  4. Once all your asparagus is laid flat on the baking tray, sprinkle garlic powder, brown sugar, and pepper evenly across all pieces.
  5. Place the tray in the oven and bake for 35-45 minutes. Monitor the bacon closely and remove it once it reaches your desired doneness level.
  6. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, try using turkey bacon. You can also dip them in maple syrup before baking for extra sweetness.
