Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix in the mashed bananas and maple syrup until well combined.
- Add half of the flour mixture to the banana mixture and stir gently.
- Mix in the yogurt or sour cream until smooth.
- Add the remaining flour mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
