Ingredients
- Butter (room temperature)
- Granulated sugar
- Maraschino cherries
- All-purpose flour

Instructions
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy using a stand mixer, hand mixer, or wooden spoon
- Mix in remaining wet ingredients
- Combine dry ingredients
- Fold in chopped maraschino cherries
- Refrigerate dough for at least 30 minutes
- Bake on cool baking sheets
Notes
- Fresh cherries can be substituted: pit and quarter them, then cook with 2 tablespoons sugar until jammy. Cool completely before adding to dough
