Instructions

- Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and M&Ms, reserving a few for topping.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Press the remaining M&Ms and candy eyeballs on top of the dough.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.
