Description
A comforting and heartfelt dish that brings family together, inspired by Nana’s classic recipe.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of fresh chicken
- 2 cups of assorted vegetables, chopped (such as bell peppers, carrots, and green beans)
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 teaspoons of your favorite seasoning blend
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant and the onions turn translucent.
- Incorporate the chicken, allowing it to brown slightly on all sides.
- Add the chopped vegetables and seasoning blend, stirring well to coat everything evenly.
- Cover the skillet and let it simmer for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together beautifully.
- Taste and adjust seasonings, adding salt and pepper as desired.
- Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped herbs for an aromatic touch.
Notes
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after cooking to redistribute juices. Customize vegetables based on what’s in season.
