- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick / 57 g) unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Heat your oven to 350°F. Coat an 8 ½ x 4 ½-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, blend the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry, stirring gently until just mixed. Ensure the batter remains slightly liquid.
- Transfer the mixture into the loaf pan, ensuring it is spread out evenly.
- Place in the oven and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs and the top is a golden hue.
- After baking, take the loaf out and let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes. Carefully remove from the pan and set it on parchment paper.
- While still warm, brush the entire loaf with the melted butter topping.
- In a small bowl, blend sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg for the topping.
