Ingredients

Instructions
- If using stovetop method: Sear the chicken and sauté aromatics
- Add barbecue sauce and other ingredients
- Simmer bone-in chicken for longer, or boneless for about 20 minutes
- Check internal temperature for doneness
- For slow cooker method: Sear chicken and sauté aromatics on stovetop
- Transfer to slow cooker
- Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours

- Boneless chicken cooks faster than bone-in
