Description

A comforting one-pot dish combining seared steak, creamy garlic butter sauce, and pasta, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 lb pasta (penne, rotini, or your choice)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (or more, to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry and season them with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steak cubes and sear them until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Once done, remove the steak from the pot and set it aside.
  4. In the same pot, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, adding salt and pepper to taste, and then add the pasta. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  6. Allow the pasta to cook until it’s almost al dente and absorbs most of the liquid.
  7. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Return the seared steak to the pot, stirring to combine.
  8. Let everything cook together for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  9. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan or fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

You can adjust spiciness by varying red pepper flakes. Adding vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes can enhance the dish. For a less creamy option, replace some cream with broth.
