Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25-ounce)
  • 4 large eggs (divided)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  5. Spread the cake batter into an even layer in the prepared baking pan.
  6. In the same bowl, beat cream cheese, remaining 2 eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown around edges, with the center slightly jiggly.
  9. Allow to cool completely for 2-3 hours before slicing into 24 pieces.

Notes
