Description

A delightful orange chicken recipe that combines sweet and savory flavors, creating a vibrant and comforting dish perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pechugas de pollo (chicken breasts)
  • 2 naranjas (juice and zest)
  • 3 cucharadas de salsa de soya (soy sauce)
  • 2 cucharadas de miel (honey)
  • 1 diente de ajo picado (minced garlic)
  • Sal y pimienta al gusto (salt and pepper to taste)
  • Aceite de oliva (olive oil)
  • 1 cucharadita de maicena (optional for thickening)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, blend the orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined to make the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the marinade and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Warm a skillet over medium heat and add a little olive oil.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and brown the breasts in the skillet for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  5. If desired, mix the cornstarch with a bit of water and add it to the skillet to thicken the sauce, cooking for a few additional minutes.
  6. Enjoy your orange chicken hot, alongside rice or vegetables.

Notes

For maximum flavor, consider marinating the chicken for up to two hours. Adjust sweetness or saltiness as desired.
