Transform a simple chicken cutlet into a flavorful family dinner with crispy texture and a creamy garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 thin chicken cutlets
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan (for sauce)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare chicken by seasoning the cutlets with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan.
  3. Dredge each cutlet in flour, shake off excess.
  4. Coat each cutlet in the beaten eggs, then in the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture, pressing gently.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add the breaded cutlets and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer to a plate once golden brown and crispy.
  7. Melt butter in the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  8. Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, and ¼ cup grated Parmesan, simmer until thickened, seasoning to taste.
  9. Return chicken cutlets to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top and garnish with parsley or thyme.
  10. Serve with mashed potatoes, pasta, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

Let breaded chicken rest for 10 minutes before frying for better adhesion.
