Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced (any color)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, beef broth, cornstarch, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the beef strips and sear until browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer the beef to a crock pot and add sliced bell peppers and onions.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the meat and vegetables.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
