Instructions

  1. Make cookie dough by creaming butter and sugar, then adding eggs and vanilla.
  2. Mix in flour and salt until well combined.
  3. Roll dough and cut into three matching circles for each cookie.
  4. Cut small centers from middle circles.
  5. Bake at 350°F until edges are lightly golden.
  6. Cool completely.
  7. Add candies between layers.
  8. Seal edges with royal icing.
  9. Decorate as desired.
