Soft, fluffy, and perfectly spiced homemade cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting
Ingredients

- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Activate yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar
- Mix wet ingredients, then gradually add flour to form soft dough
- Knead dough until smooth, let rise for 1 hour
- Roll out dough, spread with butter and cinnamon sugar
- Roll up, cut into 12 rolls, place in baking dish
- Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until golden
- Cool and top with cream cheese frosting

- Ensure milk is warm but not hot to properly activate yeast
- Let dough rise in a warm, draft-free place
- Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated overnight
